Our Story

Executive Public Accountants, Inc. was established in 1995 by current President and CFO, Jeanne Dufresne. Under Jeanne’s leadership, the company has increased the services offered to include financial accounting, bookkeeping, tax preparation, and business consulting services. EPA’s clients vary from corporations, sole proprietors, non-profits, and individuals throughout the Twin Cities and greater metro area.

The EPA staff boasts a wide variety of skills with their team members that include Certified Public Accountants, Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors, Small Business Accountants and Bookkeepers, and bilingual speaking. Executive Public Accountants is locally owned and operates out of Plymouth and Andover, Minnesota.

Meet Our Team

Jeanne Dufresne
CEO / Accountant

Jeanne lived in Europe for 10 years where she acquired her bilingual skills. After graduating from Metropolitan State University, with a passion to help small businesses achieve their goals, Jeanne started her accounting practice in 1987. In her free time, Jeanne enjoys traveling, gardening, yoga, and chasing her grandchildren around.

Corrie Niska
COO / Accountant

An Augsburg University graduate, Corrie has been working at Executive Public Accountants since 2012 as an Accountant, Tax Preparer, and QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Corrie is a mom of three boys and loves spending time outside and playing sports.

Melissa Fryckman
Office Manager / Bookkeeper

Melissa, a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and Winona State University alum, has a passion for helping small business. In addition to enjoying her time spent at EPA, Melissa is also fond of kayaking and surrounding herself with friends and family.

Todd Novotny
Accountant

Todd is a CPA (inactive certificate) with over 30 years of experience helping small businesses in both public and private settings. He graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead and most recently was the CFO for a regional heavy underground construction contractor. He joined Executive Public Accountants in 2019. Todd enjoys travelling, visiting his children and spending time outdoors.

Kim Tanner
Payroll Specialists / Bookkeeper

Kim has a degree in Business Management from Cardinal Stritch University. She has extensive experience helping small businesses with payroll, bookkeeping and human resources. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time & traveling with her children & husband.

Anna Sombrio
Bookkeeper

After graduating from University of Wisconsin-Stout, Anna served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ecuador, where she was also able to exercise her bilingual skills (English/Spanish). Anna enjoys traveling and spending her time outdoors.

Sambita
Mascot

Sambita, the Ecuadorian Office Pup, was rescued during Anna’s stay in Ecuador. Sambita enjoys treats, belly rubs, and greeting clients at the door.
